case study:

Treatment Centre – Kirkley, Suffolk

A Modular and Relocatable Treatment Centre for NHS Primary Care Trust.

This scheme provided a waiting reception area and medical treatment room facilities.
On this project we adapted our standard eco-classrooms to create a fully re-locatable but still truly sustainable building, that continues to exceed permanent building regulations! In just twelve hours these buildings were delivered from the factory and then carefully craned into position on-site. Remarkably, just 5 days later the first patients were treated in this welcoming and warm building, filled with natural light. Constructed entirely off-site, the unit was delivered from the factory and craned into position in just twelve hours. It was ready to receive its first patients just five days later.

Installed as a temporary solution whilst a permanent facility is constructed, the building is cleverly designed, so it has the option to be relocated in future years, to provide flexible accommodation elsewhere within the NHS Commissioning Group. The internal layout can also easily be adapted in later years to meet the shifting needs of the NHS.
